Talent Match takes a new approach to supporting young people to change direction in life.
It’s a free and voluntary service for 18 to 24-year-olds based on working one-to-one with a dedicated Talent Match coach. Together you’ll tackle issues that are holding you back from employment or training, work out what you want to do and find the best way to achieve it.
Some obstacles might seem too big to overcome but if you want to move forward we’ll help you to make positive progress whatever your circumstances.
You might have mental health or substance misuse issues, no home or qualifications, a criminal conviction, lack of confidence or just be stuck in a rut. Whatever the problems are, you’ll be guided every step of the way to turn things round.
If you feel ready for work, want to gain new skills, go to college, become an apprentice or find a job, we’ll guide you to the best route to achieve your goals. We can introduce you to businesses and training providers and keep supporting you along the way.
If you’re aged 18-24 and haven’t been in employment, education or training for at least a year, Talent Match is the place to start.
We can support you to:
- deal with barriers that are holding you back from work or education
- increase your self-confidence and social skills
- access training
- search for vacancies
- write CVs and job applications
- improve your interview techniques
Talent Match supports young people living anywhere in Doncaster and has a particular focus on Conisbrough, Denaby and Mexborough. Coaches meet people in community and town centre locations to make sure it’s easy and convenient for you to get advice.
