Business Start-up Grants
Do you have a great idea for a new business? Would a small grant help it to take shape? Are you based in Conisbrough or Denaby?
If so, then a new initiative to offer small start-up grants to budding entrepreneurs could make a positive difference to your enterprising plans.
The ongoing partnership between Well Doncaster and DWDT has already seen some great community projects evolve in Conisbrough and Denaby thanks to micro-grants awarded to local groups. This initiative is now expanding to offer business start-up support to help people with smart ideas to become their own boss and enhance commercial activities locally.
There’s a lot to think about when you decide to set up a small business and initial costs are one of the biggest concerns for many people. Getting some support right at the start can really help them to take those initial steps on the path to business success. Examples of items that could be funded by the start-up grants include:
- Business cards
- Flyers/promotional materials
- Initial insurance costs
- Basic training
To be eligible to apply for a start-up grant, applicants must:
- be based in Conisbrough or Denaby
- be able to provide a business plan
- demonstrate how the items to be funded by the grant will help their business to develop.
Applications will be considered by a knowledgeable panel of local business people and representatives of Well Doncaster with wide-ranging professional experience.
Please note that applications will not be accepted for activities promoting religious beliefs, political activities or goods that have already been bought or ordered.
The deadline for submission is the last working day of each month and applications will be considered early the following month.
